Frequently asked questions
Does it compare words or lines?
It compares whole lines. A line that changed appears once as removed and once as added.
Is there a size limit?
There is no fixed limit, but very large texts can be slow on older phones because the work happens on your device.
Is Diff Checker free to use?
Yes. Diff Checker is free, with no sign-up and no usage limits.
Is my data sent to your servers?
No. The work is done in your browser on your own device, so nothing you use here is sent to our servers.
Privacy and safety
Diff Checker runs entirely in your browser. What you enter or choose never leaves your device and nothing is kept after you close the page.
